Moore History

Boise State quarterback Kellen Moore is one of the finalists for two of college football's most prestigious awards--the Davey O'Brien Award and the Maxwell Award.

Kellen Moore has been named one of three finalists for both the Davey O'Brien and Maxwell Awards.

The record-setting junior leads the nation in passing efficiency (188.84), completing 201-of-280 passes (71.8%) for 2,921 yards and 28 touchdowns against just five interceptions.

Moore, Auburn's Cam Newton and Stanford quarterback Andre Luck are the finalists for both awards. The O'Brien Award is given annually to the nation's top collegiate quarterback. The finalists were chosen by the O'Brien National Selection Committee, with fan vote counting for five percent of the total vote. Candidates were judged on quarterback skills, academics, character, leadership and sportsmanship.

Fans can vote on the O'Brien winner once daily at through Sunday, December 5.

The Maxwell Award honors the top overall player in college football. FBS head coaches, members of the Maxwell Football Club and sportswriters and sportscasters around the nation will vote on the winner.

Moore has broken school records this year for career passing yards (9,943), touchdowns (92), completions (759) and 200-yard games (31).

The winners of both awards will be announced December 9 on the ESPN College Football Awards Show. Recommended Stories
