Bellevue HS OL Marcus Henry (Bellevue, WA) committed to Boise State last August and finished his senior season with a bang as he and his teammates wrapped up yet another state championship for the Wolverines. The talented O-lineman got a visit from his future position coach on Friday evening as they talked about what to expect once he arrives on campus this summer.

"Coach Strausser got here at around 6:30," he said. "We talked about what to expect, when I'd go to Boise, when I'd take my official visit, and about the whole freshman year," he added.

A common theme among the 2011 class is that many of them will enroll in the bridge program and "ease" their way into college life. In short, the bridge program reduces the "shock factor" for the incoming freshmen class.

"I'm going to arrive in the summer and I'll be doing the bridge program," he stated. "I'm really looking forward to it. I'm just excited to finally be part of the team."

Henry currently weighs 275 and OL Coach Chris Strausser says they'd like to build him up to 290 through the S&C program. The key will be to "do it the right way."

"He's going to have me gain some weight, but he wants me to gain it the right way at Boise," Henry said. "The S&C Coach told me he felt my frame could hold about 290."

Henry (6'3, 275) and a couple other commits still haven't taken their official visit to The Blue. That will change on January 21st as BroncoCountry has confirmed that Henry and Blake Renaud will both be in town that weekend.

"I'll be taking my official visit on January 21st," Henry said. "I'm real excited about it since Blake Renaud will be there too and I'll get a chance to meet him. What I really want to do is meet the team and see how the place works from the inside. I just want to see what type of place it is, the chemistry of the team, and how all the coaches get along with each other."

Signing Day is now just around the corner and the future Bronco is ready to make it official.

"I'm excited for Signing Day. I've been waiting for a long time to make it official," he said. "You know, it's going to be an overwhelming feeling when I finally do sign. I still haven't wrapped my mind completely around it," he added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Marcus Henry.
