Summit HS CB Donte Deayon (Fontana, CA) verbally committed to Boise State back in June and was in Boise last weekend for his official visit. The talented CB watched as the Bronco defense shut-down the high-powered pistol offense of the Nevada Wolf Pack. Needless to say, he was impressed with the performance on defense.

"I thought the defense played really well. They got after it all game," he said. "The crowd was nuts up there. They fed off the defense."

"I had never seen a college atmosphere like that before," he said. "The atmosphere was just crazy," he added.

"I'm 100% committed."

The talented CB also had a meeting with (DBs Coach) Marcel Yates and Head Coach Chris Petersen.

"The conversation with Coach Yates was more of an understanding-type of thing," said Deayon. "We talked about where they want me at, weight, different schemes on defense, and things like that. I felt like I understood all the different concepts."

"Coach Pete is a great guy," he stated. "He's got a lot of fire in him. He not only talks to you about football, but he walks you through life as well. He wants you to be a better person. It's about life too with Coach Pete."

His favorite part of the visit?

"The game experience itself," he said. "I had never experienced anything like that in my life. Also, I'd say being around the players was fun too."

Deayon (5'10, 163) and his teammates are 3-1 through four games. The future Bronco carries the load on defense, but is also a major contributor on offense as well.

"The season is going well. We've come a long way," said Deayon. "I feel like everyone on this team is starting to step up. We're all about what we do and want to accomplish, not who we play."

"I feel like I'm doing a great job on offense. I've got 8 TDs and about 500 yards rushing," he said. "On defense, I only have about 34 tackles right now. They just don't throw the ball my way at all."

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Donte Deayon.
