Eagle HS ATH D.J. Dean (Eagle, ID) signed with Boise State as a member of the 2012 recruiting class and will enroll at Boise State as a grayshirt in January. Many Bronco greats have come from the grayshirt ranks, but what has the experience been like for Dean?

"It's been good," he said. "This gives me some extra time to get my body ready, continue to get stronger, and a little down time as well," he added.

"I'll enroll at Boise State in January," he stated. "I decided I wasn't going to take any classes this semester since I already had 19 credits from AP courses. This has allowed me to spend a lot of time in the weight room and really focus on football."

"I talk to Coach Prince a good bit," said Dean. "He seems like a really good guy, high energy, and definitely knows what he's doing out there. I'm really looking forward to playing under his coaching."

Dean (6'1, 194) might not be running out of the tunnel at Bronco Stadium with his future teammates, but he attends each and every home game.

"They've been getting better," he said. "They're starting to get into a groove on offense. The defense has been unbelievable. The young guys have stepped up, continued to get better, and they're winning."

"The WRs have played well," said Dean. "You can see a lot of that work during the summer is starting to pay off for them. Those guys have been focused on the field, in the weight room, and in the classroom."

The future Bronco went on to say that he's excited about joining the team in January.

"I'm really excited," he said. "These past few months have gone by really fast. I'm really looking forward to getting in there and working with those guys."

"I'm just going to keep working my tail off in the weight room," he said. "I'm going to do what I can, stay in-shape, and get stronger," he added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on DJ Dean.
