In-Home Visit Report: Nick Terry

Pleasant Grove HS DT Nick Terry (Elk Grove, CA) verbally committed to Boise State back in November & welcomed Head Coach Chris Petersen into his home for an in-home visit on Friday afternoon. Like most in-home visits with Coach Petersen, it focused more on the academic side of things & the expectations that go along with being a Bronco. So, how was it?

Pleasant Grove HS DT Nick Terry (Elk Grove, CA) verbally committed to Boise State back in November and welcomed Head Coach Chris Petersen into his home for an in-home visit on Friday afternoon. Like most in-home visits with Coach Petersen, it focused more on the academic side of things and the expectations that go along with being a Bronco. So, how was it?

"It was cool," he said. "We talked about a lot of things other than football. Things like school, getting my degree, what I want to major in, and the responsibilities of being a player. They want good people and good students at Boise State."

"Coach Pete brought Coach Prince with him," he stated. "He's a really good coach, good guy. I talked to him a good bit when they came by the school during 7th period. He was joking around about putting me on offense, like RB or something. It was funny."

"Coach Pete is a great coach, a great person, and wants the best for you," said Terry. "He's about the overall person and that's how he recruits to Boise State. He had about 5-8 values that go along with being a Bronco and it's both on and off the field."

Terry went on to say that he'll enroll at Boise State in late June and take part in the summer bridge program.

"I believe I go up there on June 23rd," he said. "I think it's going to be real cool. We'll have a month or so of class, summer workouts, and come back for two weeks off before going back up. Coach Petersen said he wants me to get as big as I can without losing my strength and speed."

"I'm 100% committed."

And Coach Petersen told Terry that he would like for him to come up to Boise for the annual Blue and Orange Game following spring practice.

"Coach Pete wants us to come up for the spring game," he said. "We're definitely going to go since my dad didn't get to go with us on the official," he added.
