Pleasant Grove HS CB Brandon Lewis (Elk Grove, CA) verbally committed to Boise State just a couple months ago and was back in Boise two weeks ago for another unofficial visit. The talented CB says this most recent visit to Boise did nothing but reaffirm his decision to become a Bronco and says he's now looking ahead to summer workouts.

"It was a great visit," he said. "It just reaffirmed my decision to commit to Boise State," he added.

"I got to see the new facilities, the sky center, and went on a tour of the facilities," he stated. "I think the new football facility will definitely help with recruiting, game-planning, and it'll make it a lot easier with all of the coaches having their own office. It's going to be a great facility."

"I mostly spent time with Coach Prince," said Lewis. "All of the coaches are great people, can relate to you, and are always looking to bring the best out of you. It's great to play for great coaches, but I like it even more that I'm playing for great people."

He went on to say that he's glad he committed early as he can now focus on his senior season.

"I'm definitely glad I committed early," he said. "Knowing I have a scholarship to a great place like Boise really makes me happy. It's a great town, great football team, great atmosphere, and there's no professional team in town. Everyone is a Bronco fan. I'm just glad I can focus on my senior season now."

"I'm 100% committed."

And summer workouts?

"We're doing a lot of conditioning right now," said Lewis. "We're focused on running since we have a lot of players going both ways this season. We're looking pretty good. I think our secondary will be really good and we have a lot of great skill position guys on offense. We have a lot of good kids that are really working hard."

So, what can Bronco fans expect to see from Brandon Lewis?

"I feel like I bring my best effort on every play," he said. "I'm a playmaker on offense, feel my press coverage has really improved on defense, and I bring a tenacity to the football field," he added.
