Griswold Commits To Boise State During Visit

BJ Rains, Boise State beat writer for the Idaho Press-Tribune, confirmed late last night that Boise State nearly pulled an Offensive Line Hat Trick on Friday, receiving a commitment from another Offensive Line standout.. this time Ryan Griswold out of Pearland HS in Pearland TX.

Ryan Griswold, a standout OT from Pearland TX, has been receiving a lot of recruiting interest and had said that he favored Houston and Boise State.

Even without visiting Boise, Griswold knew something about the Broncos.. "They're a powerhouse," he said, speaking with Jared Crews about Boise State. "I know they're ranked every year and have one of the best football programs in the country."

Why Griswold was so highly recruited (5 D1 offers as of July) is easy to see, "Coaches like my size and footwork," he said. "I'm also a leader on the field," he added." Griswold is athletic enough to play DE, but has the size on his 6'5 frame to bulk up, he projects as an OT in College.

Going into the 2014 recruiting season, it was obvious that the Offensive Line would be 'the' top priority, given the number of upperclassmen on the depth chart, and the lack of any OLine commitments had not gone unnoticed. Now, all that changes as Ryan Griswold is the second commitment for Boise State today, joining Jesse (Boomer) Sosebee as new Bronco OLine commits.
