The Riddler Returns

BJ Rains of the Idaho Press Tribune is reporting that Kent Riddle, Special Teams and Tight Ends Coach for Arkansas State, will be joining his former Head Coach at Boise State.

Kent Riddle, who already has quite a history at Boise State, is reportedly telling recruits that he will be returning to the Blue Turf of Bronco Stadium as a member of Coach Bryan Harsin's staff.

Riddle was the guru behind one of the best era's of Boise State Special Teams (2001-2005), implementing an attacking return style and swarming return team.

Riddle is also the creator of 'The Riddler', (named for him as well), the fake punt that Boise State ran to perfection against TCU in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.

That fake punt resulted in a first down on a crucial drive that eventually saw Doug Martin somersault into the end zone for the game winning points.

Riddle left Boise State after the 2005 season to join Dan Hawkins at Colorado where he spent the next 5 seasons. Riddle coached TE's and Special Teams for the Buffs and coached two All-Americans.

After Colorado, Riddle spent time at North Texas before joining the Arkansas State staff under Coach Harsin. Now he appears ready to make the return voyage to the West Coast.

BroncoCountry welcomes Coach Riddle back to the Blue.
