Clay-Chalkville HS DT Jalen Harvey (Pinson, AL) verbally committed to South Alabama back in November, but a recent offer from Boise State has him thinking blue as he'll take an official visit to Boise State later this month. The talented DT says he's eager to see the campus and is thrilled to receive an offer from Boise State.

"I'm very excited," he said. "Coach Harsin offered me at Arkansas State and for he and Coach Caldwell to offer me at Boise State was really surprising," he added.

"Coach Caldwell offered me," he stated. "He called and asked how would I feel about coming out to Boise. I told him I'd love to come out there and play for him. Both he and Coach Harsin are great people that I could see myself playing for."

"They know how to win," he said in regards to Boise State. "They've put a bunch of guys in the league too. I'm excited to get out there and see the campus and facilities."

And the famous blue turf? Harvey might be from SEC country, but says he loves The Blue.

"The most important thing for me is seeing that blue field," said Harvey. "That's Boise State and how people know about them. That's one of the most beautiful fields I've seen. I've always thought it was really cool."

He went on to say that he'll visit Boise State on the 17th or 31st of January.

"We talked about an official visit," he said. "We've got to get that set-up. I was thinking the 17th, but definitely the 31st if not the 17th. I'm taking my family out there for the visit as well and they're all excited. My dad looked at the campus online and said he couldn't wait to see it too."

"We're going to sit down and talk about committing after my visit," said Harvey. "I'll call the coaches of the school that I'm going to commit to on February 1st or 2nd and tell them where I'm going to college."

So, what does Jalen Harvey (6'3, 300) bring to the gridiron?

"I'm a high-energy guy and I play aggressive," he said. "I'm going to do the best I can to help my team win," he added.

As a senior, he racked up 68 tackles and 5 sacks.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Jalen Harvey.
