Pesi Savea Eyes West Coast Schools
Following a breakthrough performance at the All-Poly Camp, Boise State and Idaho State immediately offered Pesi Savea, while USC, Texas Tech and Colorado began showing interest. "(The Boise State coaches) came up to me and asked where I came from and what I've been doing," he said. "They like how I do my drills and how I move for my size. I met the offensive line coach (Scott Huff) and the offensive coordinator (Mike Sanford)." Although Savea does not know much about the Broncos, he is aware of two things. "I like that they're the only school with a blue field," he said. "They have a good program." Savea is in no hurry to make a decision. He is still garnering interest from some big-time colleges and will bide his time before committing. "I'm going to make a decision as soon as I talk to my family and get everything together. I have some other schools talking to me right now, so I'm in no hurry." At the moment Boise State isn't a college he is necessarily considering. "I never really had intentions of going to Boise," Savea said. "I was more considering schools on the west coast like in California and Oregon. I want to go off on my own." But, Savea knows he has to continue to perform his best to pick up the offers he covets. "I'm going to keep working hard and I will be grateful for whatever offers come my way," he said.
