"I would put Boise State as my favorite"

Fontana Kaiser, California defensive lineman David Carter (6'5 260lbs) currently claims written scholarship offers from Big-12, CUSA, and WAC schools; he's been hearing from multiple Pac-10 teams ever since summer camps... but it's Boise State that currently leads for his services

Fontana California's Kaiser High School DE David Carter spoke with Scout.com's Andrew Friedman about his recruiting and gave the following update:

David Carter claims written offers from UTEP, Colorado, Nevada and Boise State. "My top three are Boise State, UTEP and Colorado," says Carter. "I would put Boise State as my favorite. My mom has a friend that tells me good things about them and they also have an 89 percent graduation rate for their players."

He says his mother prefers Boise State and his father does not have a favorite. The defensive lineman says that UTEP and Nevada are recruiting the hardest.

Carter has heard from many schools in September. "I have received calls from UCLA, Arizona, UTEP, Washington, Colorado, Boise State, Nevada, and Utah."

Most schools are telling Carter they see him as a defensive end. "I am a team player that plays with great intensity. I could play at tight end or defensive end."

He has not scheduled any official visits.

Carter carries a 2.6 core GPA and scored an 800 on the old version of the SAT and an 1162 on the new version. He would like to major in Business.
