Is Coby Karl Moving On?

Coby Karl raised some eyebrows Friday with his "sound decision-making, deft passing and accurate perimeter shooting." Karl connected on 5 of 6 field-goal attempts, including 3/3 from 3-point range, en route to a Cobyesque team-leading 15 points, five assists and five rebounds. Enough to impress one team enough to invite Coby in for a closer look on their dime... is Coby's next game in the NBA?

Bronco Senior to be Coby Karl reportedly raised some eyebrows at the pre-draft camp with "his sound decision-making, deft passing and accurate perimeter shooting." (Racine Journal-Times)  In a game Friday, Karl connected on 5-of-6 field-goal attempts, including going 3-for-3 from 3-point range, en route to a team-leading 15 point performance. Karl also had five assists and five rebounds.

Now word comes down from Milwaukee that at least 1 team is impressed enough in the young Karl to bring him in on their dime to get a closer look.  The Bucks are bringing Coby Karl in for another closer look. The Bucks don't own a 1st round draft-pick this year, and are searching high and low for their next 2nd Round Gem. The team that picked up such premier players as Michael Redd, Dan Gadzuric, Ronald "Flip'' Murray, and Jason Hart in the 2nd round is now "intrigued" by Coby.

(Picture Courtesy HoopsWorld.com) One pre-draft journalist, (Gery Woelfel of the Racine Journal-Times), who follows Bucks Basketball had the following tidbit in his latest Pre-draft article: ""Perhaps the most intriguing player the Bucks will take a closer look at, though, is Coby Karl, a 6-5 combo guard from Boise State who is the son of former Bucks and current Denver Nuggets coach George Karl."

So that this one report isn't thought to be an exaggeration, NBADraft.net said the following about Coby's game, "Coby Karl, who had a team high 15 points with his father George Karl looking on, showed excellent ability to shoot the ball quickly and with range. Karl found Amundson early in the game for an ally oop dunk on a spectacular pass."

BroncoCountry will continue to watch Coby's NBA dreams and report on the latest changes to his status at Boise State.  Either way, and despite our great desire to see Coby return for his Senior season.. BroncoCountry wishes Coby all the luck and success in the world.
