With its 52-0 win over Utah State
last Saturday, Boise State
became one of just 19 teams since 1920 that have won nine or more games in at
least six consecutive seasons. Another eight did in prior to 1920. Put another
way, only 15 schools in the history of college football have won nine or more
games for more consecutive seasons than the Boise State Broncos.
The most recent teams to put together a streak of five consecutive seasons
were Georgia, LSU and USC. Oklahoma
teams have accomplished the feat three times in the school’s history as have Tennessee,
Michigan and Ohio
State.
The leaders of the all-time marks for consecutive seasons of nine or more
wins appear below.
