The Boise State track team is ranked #4 in the nation by the United States Track & Field Association. The Broncos earned the prestigious position thanks to a superb effort last weekend.

Boise State has received its highest national ranking in any sport since the Broncos were a national title contender in tennis last decade.

The Bronco track team jumped up to #4 in this week's ranking of Division I college track teams following their performance in the Blue and Orange Classic last weekend in Nampa.

Transfer Ryan Grinnell posted a nation's best 53-feet 4.5 inches in the triple jump at the Classic to earn an automatic invitation to the NCAA Championships. Grinnell is also ranked eighth in the nation in the long jump (25-1.25) and 10th in the high jump (7-.50).

Simon Wardhaugh is #2 in the country in the weight throw with a toss of 69-5.50. Savvas Diakonikolas is ranked sixth in the long jump this week with a mark of 25-5.25 and 13th in the triple with a best of 50-11. Zacharias Arnos is 16th in the triple with a leap of 50-7.50.

Boise State returns to action this Friday and Saturday in the United Heritage Invitational, also in Nampa.

Come support the #4 track team in the nation!
