The Boise State swimming and diving team has shown marked improvement in this, their second year of competition. That much is evident as the Broncos are now in 6th place in the WAC Championships with two days to go.

The second-year Boise State swim team has moved up to sixth place at the Western Athletic Swimming and Diving Championships in San Antonio.  The Broncos have 98 points, four ahead of Idaho and seven ahead of last place San Diego.  Boise State finished last in 2007 in it’s first-ever year of swimming competition.  Nevada holds a slim lead over Northern Arizona with 246 points to 236 for the Lady Lumberjacks.

Bronco freshman Rachael Meisner finished fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:02.51, less than three seconds away from second, to highlight Boise State’s day.  Action continues today in the four-day competition.
