Boise State has accepted a bid to play in the 16-team College Basketball Invitational Tournament, and will be matched up with the Pac-10's Stanford on Wednesday night at the Farm in Palo Alto, California.

This will be Boise State's first trip to the Farm to play against the Cardinal, a team that despite it's official mascot is better known for it's irreverent Tree Mascot.  Stanford is 18-13 on the season with notable wins over then #21 ranked Arizona State, #22 ranked Cal, and Arizona.  They also took Top-20 UCLA to the limit on the Farm, falling by only 5 points roughly 2 weeks ago.

The Cardinal are led by a trio of outstanding players who average double figures in scoring.

Senior Anthony Goods leads the Cardinal with 16.3 ppg from his guard spot.
Fellow Senior Lawrence Hill chips in at 13.3 ppg as a 6'8 forward, and also averages over 5 rebounds per game.
The last of the big 3 is Junior SF Landry Fields, who averages 12.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game respectively.

All 3 players average over 30 minutes per game and account for nearly 60% of the offensive output for the team.  This will put a lot of pressure on the Bronco's guards and forwards to match up with this talented trio.

This is a young Cardinal team that boasts a roster that is over half Freshmen and Sophomores, but they are a very talented team that went 13-4 at home for the season, with their only home losses coming against UCLA, Arizona State, Washington, and  Oregon State.  The Beavers were the only unranked team of those four teams at the time of their game on the Farm.

For Boise State to have a chance to knock off the Cardinal, they will have to play on the road like they played against Utah State at home.
