Boise State breezed to two WAC tennis wins today in Reno, downing New Mexico State 6-1 before defeating host Nevada 5-2. The real question, however, is: Can the Broncos come through when it counts for the WAC Championships in two weeks?

#19 Boise State blew past Western Athletic Conference opponents New Mexico State (6-1) and host Nevada (5-2) this afternoon on their final road trip of the regular season.

Boise State's big three, #26 Clancy Shields, #70 Kean Feeder and #71 James Meredith once again led the way for Coach Greg Patton's Broncos with single wins in both matches.  Shields downed New Mexico State's Gustav Diep 6-3, 6-2 and then beat Nevada's Weissem Derbel 6-4, 6-4.  Feeder downed Jim Brouleau and followed with a tougher win over Laurent Garcin 5-7, 6-0, 6-1.  Meredith put away Arthur Surreaux of the Aggies before disposing of Nevada's Alex Darety 6-3, 6-4.

Feeder and Meredith also combined for two doubles wins, as did Blane Shields and Matt Solomon.

Boise State returns home to the Appleton Tennis Complex where fans will be treated to action between six of the WAC's nine teams next weekend.  Patton's Army faces Utah State, Hawai'i and rival Fresno State while New Mexico State and Nevada will follow the Broncos to Boise to participate as well.

Boise State will then attempt to make up for its embarrassing performance in last year's WAC Championships with a chance at revenge in the 2009 Championships in Hawai'i in two weeks.
