The Boise State men's tennis team has received an elite Academic Progress
Rate award from the NCAA, becoming the first Bronco team in history to be so
honored. The NCAA selects teams in the top 10 percent of all Division I
teams for the national awards. Coach Greg Patton's team joins the Hawai'i
women's volleyball team as the only two teams from the Western Athletic
Conference to earn the award.
The Bronco tennis team earned a perfect APR score of 1000, which means that
in the last four years, they had 100 percent retention rate, 100% academic
eligibility and 100% graduation rates. The APR is used by the NCAA to
measure a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic
progress of each student-athlete.
Congratulations to Coach Greg Patton and Boise State for recruiting these
excellent student-athletes and to the fine young men's tennis team for achieving
the results!
