The Boise State campus felt like home for Mills when he took his official visit and that comfort level made his decision to become a Bronco an easy one. "I liked it a lot when I went on my official visit," he stated. "They have real nice facilities, a good school, and a nice campus. I saw myself fitting in with the team and offense."
Bronco football recruits have mentioned numerous times that there is a real family atmosphere at Boise State. That atmosphere has helped the Broncos reach new heights as a program over the past few years and Mills felt that same atmosphere with the basketball program. "Coach (Greg) Graham seems like a really good guy," he said. "I just had that gut feeling on my official visit and I could see myself learning a lot from him the next four years. Coach Graham has a real good relationship with all of the players."
Currently, Mills (7'0, 210) and his teammates at Arrowhead are enjoying a lot of success. They are currently at the top of the rankings in Wisconsin. "We're doing really good," he said. "We're 8-1 and have been ranked #1 in the state for a really long time." Ben has been lighting it up as he is averaging a double-double this season. "I'm averaging about 20 points and 15 rebounds."
The future Bronco is now trying to decide exactly when he'll arrive on campus. "It depends on when summer school is being offered," Mills said. "I plan on going to summer school."
Boise State fans can expect Mills to work hard and create match-up problems for opposing defenses. "I see myself as a guy that's going to work hard," he stated. "I'm never going to slack off. I could see myself playing multiple positions and I have the ability to shoot the jump shot outside," he added.
