Nathaniel Narbonne HS CB Bryan Douglas (Harbor City, CA) has been a solid Boise State verbal commitment for over five months. He spoke to BroncoCountry.com about the in-home visit, Signing Day, and his future as a Bronco.

Nathaniel Narbonne HS CB Bryan Douglas (Harbor City, CA) has been a solid Boise State verbal commitment for over five months. Signing Day is now only a few days away and the Bronco coaches just finished up their final in-home visit with him as he prepares to sign his LOI in Wednesday. "Coach Pete and Coach Yates came for a visit," he said. "They got here around 6 p.m. and left around 9 p.m.," he added.

The visit was a total success and both coaches made a strong impression on his family. "They came to the school earlier that day to go over transcripts and make sure I'm squared away," Douglas said. "We just talked about football, the Fiesta Bowl, and what it'll be like when I get up there. Man, Coach Pete is so down to earth. You'd think he'd be acting like Donald Trump. He played with my little nephew and talked to my sister. He's just a great guy."

The future Bronco and Head Coach Chris Petersen went over everything he needs to know in terms of signing his LOI on Wednesday. "I was really paying attention about the Letter of Intent," he stated. "I wanted to know exactly how to fill it out. That stuck to me."

Bronco fans have watched Bryan's highlight videos and have compared him to Titus Young due to his speed and playmaking ability at the WR position. It looks like Douglas will stick to defense and try to follow in Kyle Wilson's footsteps at CB. "They want me on defense and I'll play special teams too," he said. "My speed and football knowledge is what I bring to this team. I got a good feel on the field. I'm always in the right place at the right time. I also have strong dedication and a good work ethic," Douglas added.

The standout CB will have the opportunity to learn from a solid core of DBs as Boise State looks to be strong once again even with the loss of Kyle Wilson. "It's going to be great learning from Brandyn (Thompson) in this one year I have with him. I'm going to take a little bit from all of the DBs up there."

Spring practice is just around the corner and Bryan (5'10, 170, 4.4) plans to get a head start as he will make the trip to Boise to watch his future teammates in action. "We plan to go up there for spring practice so I can sit in on the meetings," he said. "That's going to be great. It'll give me a little head start."

Signing Day is now just a few days away and a dream will be realized for Bryan and his family when he signs on the dotted line to become a Bronco. "Man, I can't explain the feeling. I got butterflies just waiting for this day," he stated. "It's right around the corner. I can't wait for that day."
