Richie Brockel: From Boise To Bolts
Richie Brockel
Posted Apr 24, 2010

Richie Brockel may have lost most of his senior season, but the Bronco fan favorite will still be able to pursue his dream of playing in the NFL as the San Diego Chargers signed the TE to a free agent contract shortly after the NFL Draft concluded.

Multiple sources are confirming that former Boise State TE/FB Richie Brockel was contacted by the San Diego Chargers as the NFL Draft was concluding, and despite fielding a lot of other calls, the Chargers won out for the first chance at the standout player.

A former team captain and all-academic honoree, Brockel finished both his Undergraduate and Master's degrees in Accounting during his 4.5 years in Boise.

For now, however, those plans are on hold as he pursues his NFL dreams.

BroncoCountry wishes Richie good luck and success in his pursuits both on and off the field.
