Gonzaga Prep RB Bishop Sankey (Spokane, WA) committed to Washington State last December and has since decided to look around and visit a few schools as he hopes to find the best fit for him. He has already visited Washington and he's looking to take a few more unofficial visits this summer. "I'd like to visit UCLA, Arizona State, Boise State, and go to the Under-Armour Camp in Chicago," he said. "I'm hoping I can fit all that in this summer," he added.

RBs Coach Keith Bhonapha has been in contact with Sankey and would like to get him on campus soon for a visit. "The RBs Coach is recruiting me. I've only spoken to him once on the phone, but we email each other back and forth," he said. "He told me they're only looking to offer one back and he wants to get me down there to see how I like it. I'm definitely going to try to get down there."

Boise State has the hottest program in the Northwest right now and Bishop (5'11, 190, 4.46) is intrigued by the high-flying Bronco offense. "I really like how they run their offense and spread things out," he said. "They are a consistent winning program and that's something I'm looking for."

Last season, the standout RB racked up First Team All-State honors as he rushed for 2,011 yards and 19 TDs. He came close to breaking the GSL rushing record and this year he hopes to add that accomplishment to his stellar resume. "I definitely want to make All-State again this year, get that GSL rushing record, and receive the opportunity to play in the All-American Bowl."

Spring practice is on the horizon for Gonzaga Prep and Bishop is eager to learn the new offense that will be implemented this spring. The Gonzaga Prep coaching staff wants to get their talented RB as many touches as possible and that will certainly be the main goal of the new offense. "We're switching up the offense this spring," he stated. "I'll be running the wildcat and we'll be spreading it out more this year. I want to practice 100% since they told us it'll be a more up-tempo offense. I've got to get used to a new way of practicing," Sankey added.

BroncoCountry.com will continue to have updates on Bishop Sankey.
