Reggie Larry poured in 19 points, grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds and
blocked four shots as Boise State whipped Idaho 86-63 last night at Taco Bell Arena. Larry’s spectacular effort places him in the
all-time top ten Bronco performances in both rebounds and blocked shots for a
game.
After another bad start for Boise State that saw the visitors open up a 19-14
lead, the Broncos woke up and went on a 42-6 run to put the game away. Matt Nelson aided Larry inside with 14 points
and eight rebounds. Coby
Karl contributed 12 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Seth Robinson
added 12 points and Kenny Wilson 10. The
key to the game was control of the glass, where Boise State commanded a 55-26 advantage.
David Jackson led Idaho with 15 points, while Keoni Watson finished with 12.
In its
up and down season, Boise State is now 6-5 in the Western Athletic
Conference and 12-10 overall. Idaho has now lost 10 of their last 11 and are just 1-10 in the WAC and 3-20 overall.
Coach Greg Graham’s team plays
