| COLLEGE CAREER: Four-year letterwinner at Boise State (2003-2006) finished collegiate career with 115 receptions for 1, 810 yards and 7 TDs… In final game with Boise State, had 3 catches for 96 yards and 2 TDs in 43-42 overtime Fiesta Bowl victory over Oklahoma, while also lateraling ball after reception to Jerald Rabb for game-tying TD with 7 seconds to play in regulation…Finished 2nd on the team with 36 catches for a team-best 650 yards and 4 touchdowns during senior season... Played in all 13 contests with 12 starts while also rushed 7 times for 54 yards and added 1 kick return for 17 yards and 1 punt return for 7 yards… Named second-team All-WAC after junior season, tying for 2nd on the team with 34 catches and 518 yards while adding 7 rushes for 70 yards… Earned honorable mention All-WAC honors after moving into Broncos starting lineup midway through sophomore season finishing 2nd on the team in receptions (40) and receiving yards (568), while catching 1 TD... Played in 7 contests during redshirt freshman season and caught 5 passes for 74 yards and returned a punt for 3 yards… Redshirted during the 2002 season... Majored in general business management.
CAREER TRANSACTIONS: Signed with Bears as an undrafted free agent (4/30/2007).
PERSONAL NOTES: Two-time all-region selection at Westview High School under coach George Martinez… Caught 35 passes for 659 yards and 6 TDs as a senior helping lead squad to conference championship… Also excelled in track and field, winning conference championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, and the high jump. |
