How Acquired: Claimed off waivers from the Detroit Lions Sept. 3, 2006.
2006: Played in nine games for the Vikings, making one start. Was inactive for the season opener and was inactive for three straight games in November not related to injury. Finished the season with 42 carries for 192 yards and three touchdowns and caught two passes for 15 yards. He also returned four kickoffs for 76 yards and had four special teams tackles. His only start came for an injured Chester Taylor Dec. 10 at Detroit. He scorched his former team for 125 yards on 29 carries and three touchdowns.
2005: Played in all 16 games and made two starts for Detroit, carrying 106 times for 349 yards and three touchdowns, while catching 21 passes for 181 yards.
2004: Played in nine games with two starts. Rushed 57 times for 174 yards and two touchdowns and caught 11 passes for 72 yards.
2003: Drafted by the Lions in the fourth round of the draft, but spent the first 11 weeks of the season in the physically unable to perform list due to an injury suffered at the Senior Bowl. Played in three games and started the last two. Finished the season with 39 carries for 99 yards and five receptions for 40 yards.
College: Finished his career with the Wildcats with 438 carries for 2,105 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, while catching 58 passes for 407 yards and two TDs. Had 11 100-yard rushing games in his college career. Was named to several All-SEC teams as a senior and was an All-America Honorable Mention. In nine starts as a senior, he rushed 283 times for 1,414 yards and 13 touchdowns – the second highest total in school history behind only Moe Williams (1,600 yards in 1995).
Personal: A three-year high school starter who played running back, defensive back and linebacker. Finished his high school career with 704 carries for 5,829 yards and 68 touchdowns. He totaled 8,114 all-purpose yards. Was the Class AAA Player of the Year in Kentucky as a high school senior and a USA Today Honorable Mention All-America. Has been involved in several community activities and, as a hobby, he collects DVDs and remote control cars.
